Strong public schools are an investment in our community and our future. Today's third grader is tomorrow's entrepreneur and a businesses future employee. The Ann Arbor Public Schools Educational Foundation was created to enhance the high academic goals of The Ann Arbor Public Schools. Ann Arbor has always boasted excellence in education. Our school system has traditionally been one of the very best. Ann Arbor had a history of supporting strong public schools via tax increases until Proposal A in 1994 made that impossible. The Ann Arbor Public Schools Educational Foundation exists to provide funding support to enrich and enhance the core curriculum for students all across the school district. In addition to funding support, the Ann Arbor Public Schools Educational Foundation facilitates the provision of other resources to AAPS students such as free entry to events; volunteers; mentor; books, etc. The Ann Arbor Public Schools Educational Foundation is the outlet for private giving to the Ann Arbor Public Schools where 100% of funds raised by the Foundation stay in Ann Arbor. |
