The Ann Arbor Public Schools Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization separate from the Ann Arbor Public Schools that serves as the one true vehicle for private giving to public schools in Ann Arbor.

The Ann Arbor Public Schools Educational Foundation raises private funds through events and contributions from the community in order to enrich public school education through large program support and grants to teachers. We contribute to the quality of life in Ann Arbor and change lives by affecting our quality of public education. We encourage you to browse our site and learn how you can be part of the solution.

Features Dr. David Aberdeen, a lifelong advocate of public education and retired Ann Arbor Public Schools educator, passed away on September 23, 2009. To honor Dr. Aberdeen, donations in his memory may be made to the Ann Arbor Public Schools Educational Foundation teacher grant program. Make a contribution. You may view programs previously funded by visiting the initiatives page. The Foundation is promoting the Thank a Staff Member Today campaign to let teachers and staff members know we recognize and appreciate their dedication and hard work on behalf of our community’s young people.
